About the therapist
Alex Preston - BA, BSc, PGDip & MSc
I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist within private practice/NHS, and have been for the last decade. I am also a Clinical Supervisor and the Course Clinical lead for the University of Staffordshire and Keele University.
I have a practice speciality within the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) but also offer treatment in many other issues that CBT is the evidence-based and National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) recommended therapeutic intervention.
Feel free to contact me to arrange a free 15 minute telephone conversation, whereupon we will determine together if CBT would be appropriate for you, or alternatively I may be able to guide you in the right direction if not.
The majority of treatment and supervision will be conducted online, however, CBT sometimes involves taking an active role in treatment, and if distance allows, we may meet in person to do this work. I am based in mid-Staffordshire.
I do not maintain a waiting list but the benefit of having such experience within Talking Therapies and training hundreds of individuals in CBT over the years is that if I do not have availability then I will be able to recommend another experienced colleague who may do.
Look forward to hearing from you.
